President-Elect serves one year starting July 1st, 2012, and serves as President for an additional two-year term. Secretary serves a two-year term starting July 1st. Persons running for the positions of President-Elect and Secretary must be members in good standing with RID and IdahoRID. President-Elect must be a Certified interpreter, Qualified educational interpreter, or Associate interpreter member of IdahoRID and RID. Secretary is open to any membership category of RID and IdahoRID. Duties: Secretary - To record the minutes of the meetings of this organization
- To read all communications that are of interest to the members
- To conduct the correspondence of this organization under the direction of the presiding officer
- To provide all minutes of the Business meetings conducted by a quorum to all members
President-Elect - To attend all meetings of this organization.
- To be mentored by the president in learning how the duties and responsibilities of the office of the President is conducted which may include but not limited to:
- The procedure of appointing Members-at-Large and committee chairs
- The procedure of appointing committees
- To assist in maintaining order among the members
- To assist in seeing that all business conducted by this organization is in agreement with the bylaws
- To ready himself/herself to assume the Office of the President for 2 years following the initial period of mentorship
