Stay in the loop:
IdahoRID uses two listservs to communicate with interpreters throughout the state, as well as our Facebook page. All sign language interpreters and students are welcome to join the listservs, regardless of current membership status. Our Google group is used for official announcements from the board only. The Yahoo group is for community announcements and any member of the listserv can post.

President:
It’s election time, everyone! IdahoRID is seeking nominations for the positions of President-Elect and Secretary. On even-numbered years, we elect Secretary and President-Elect. We will be voting as a membership on these two positions at the April 2012 workshop (details coming soon on the date and location). President-Elect serves one year starting July 1st, 2012, and serves as President for an additional two-year term. Secretary serves a two-year term starting July 1st. Are you interested in serving or know someone who is? Please contact us with your inquiries and ideas. Looking forward to working with you and making great things happen for Idaho interpreters. | SAIPAN/GUAM INTERPRETER FUNDRAISER
The IdahoRID membership passed a motion in October 2011 with overwhelming support to sponsor a Guam or Saipan interpreter to attend the 2012 RID Region V conference in Hawaii in the amount of $2,400. Get involved! Click here to give a tax deductible donation to the Saipan/Guam Interpreter Initiative. We will be glad to send you an email receipt for your donation. IdahoRID will keep the ‘funds gauge’ updated on our homepage so you know how we’re doing. Please share your ideas on making this a reality! Click here to meet Geraldine Songao, the Saipan interpreter selected for the fundraiser. |
