| This year’s conference will feature a first-of-its-kind professional development opportunity, specifically for interpreters. Nationally recognized presenter Sarah Wheeler will lead an innovative workshop exploring the responsible use of artificial intelligence in interpreting. Participants will explore ethical AI use, confidentiality, preparation strategies, reflective practice, recognizing bias, evaluating AI-generated content, and maintaining human judgment at the center of interpreting practice. As AI continues to evolve, this timely workshop will equip interpreters with practical tools while reinforcing the profession’s ethical standards. Conference is open to all sign language interpreters, Deaf and hard-of-hearing community members, spoken language interpreters, students, and advocates. |

The 2026 Conference welcomes spoken language interpreters, advocates, and others who may not use sign language. Spoken English interpretation will be available to support accessibility for all attendees. Registration Table Please pick up your name badge & gift bag at the registration table upon arrival. On-site registration will not be available. Workshop Attire Business casual attire is recommended. Children & Child Care IdahoRID is unable to provide child care services. To maintain a professional learning environment, children should not attend workshops. Cancellations and Refunds Cancellation requests must be submitted to info@idahorid.org no later than 11:59 PM, October 29, 2026.
